Tragic Death of Eritrean Family

The Eritrean Community of Columbus, Ohio, is sad to announce the tragic death of a family.
On the morning of April 30th, 2018, police were called to the home, where they discovered a heinous crime had been committed, leaving 4 dead, including the suspect of the incident. This tragedy claimed the lives of Azeb Demewez, 33, Russom Habte, 19, and Selam Habte, 18. (May God Rest Their Souls in Peace)
Like many who come to this country, the family was in search for a better life and more opportunities. As a result of this unimaginable event, their pursuit of the American Dream was cut short. The heartbreaking reality is that of the family that’s left, one of the victims, Alganesh Gebrezgabiher, 51, currently remains in the hospital with life threatening conditions, while the five children grieve: 1 ½ year old twins, and 3 school aged youth.
In order to help alleviate the financial burden that comes with loosing family members at such a young age, the Eritrean Community of Columbus, Ohio, respectfully ask for your prayers and assistance in this time of mourning. The donations will directly support the needs of the children and furthermore, to establish a sense of stability for their future.
Together as a community, we know that these children will need all of our love and support. Therefore, any donation, no matter how small is greatly appreciated.
