Goal:
We want to raise funds for Molly and Chris to get a new truck to replace a truck that was totaled in a car accident! We would like this to happen as soon as possible.
What Happened?
In late March, Molly was in a serious car accident when someone pulled out in front of her while she was driving on a state road. At the time of the accident, Molly was pulling her brand new horse trailer containing her two horses Lacey and Grayson.
Lacey was killed in the accident and Grayson suffered life-threatening injuries to his front legs and head (he is recovering slowly but surely). Molly suffered whiplash to her neck, serious damage to her knee, and has hematomas in her chest and stomach area. The accident destroyed their family's brand new horse trailer and totaled the only pickup truck they own. In addition to everything else, losing their only pickup truck makes it very difficult for them to manage day-to-day farm necessities (i.e., transporting hay for the horses, taking trash to the dump, etc.)
Insurance Worries:
When the person who caused the accident pulled out in front of Molly, Molly swerved to avoid the other vehicle and smashed head-on into a large tree. Because of this, the person who caused the accident's insurance may claim that they aren't responsible to pay out. So there's a question of whether Molly and Chris will get an insurance payout at all.
Help is Needed:
Molly and Chris are two of the most selfless, loving, and genuine people I've ever had the pleasure to know. They are grieving the unexpected loss of their beautiful horse Lacey and have large vet bills in helping their horse Grayson recover from his injuries. Molly is having to undergo many doctor's visits and continuing physical therapy for her knee and torso. Their horse trailer that was destroyed was only 2 months old and their now-totaled pickup truck was the only way they had to transport their horse's hay. What they are in need of now is a replacement pickup truck so that their farm and household can function on a daily basis.
Anything you can give towards the goal of a replacement truck will help Molly and Chris tremendously. We know there are lots of people who love them and we want to harness that love into something tangible to help them. We appreciate you all! Thank you <3
