We are reaching out to you today following the aftermath of an unimaginable tragedy that has shattered my family. The following weeks to come will be excruciating and unbearably difficult for our entire family and any help would be deeply appreciated. My sister, Lacy, is a stay at home mom with her five children; Leah (18), Camryn (16), Lucas Jr. (13), Amaya (3) & Taylor (2). On the early morning of November 8th, tragedy occured and Lacy sustained severe injuries to her head, face, arms & entire upper body. Later that morning they learned the tragic news of the loss of their father and love, Lucas, as he suffered heart complications at the hospital. Our family is so heartbroken. Lacy immediately underwent surgery to repair both of her arms that had been broken, as well as 14 staples in her head. Due to the severity of her injuries she will be unable to care for her babies in diapers while she heals; so her sisters, brothers, mother and immediate family will be helping take care of the children at this time. In order to do so, they must also take work off for an unknown amount of time which will severely impact the finances of our entire family. Lacy & her children are suffering the loss of their caretaker and father, Lucas, & will have to learn to navigate life without someone they deeply loved.
