Tragedy Strikes: Aid 14 Kids in Need

Donation protected
Welcome to our fundraiser, thanks for stopping by.

Recently, we’ve suffered a tragic death in our family. Because of the circumstances, I have an additional 3 kids under my care.

They have no other trusted family, nor friends.
I'm seeking to become their foster parent/legal guardian; however, until then, we could use help from our community.

I have found a few resources for financial assistance with funeral costs, but I'm not sure how legit they are. My priority is the safety of the kids and their needs being met temporarily.

In addition to my kids, I now have a 12-year-old, 8-year-old, and also a 6-month-old to care for.

I reside in low-income housing, so I’m now applying for Section 8 in hopes of being approved for a bigger home, so we can move.
If not, 4/5 bedrooms run around $3k/month.

In addition, my mom is suffering from some very serious health conditions. She cares for her 3 young children as well as 5 of my nieces and nephews, all under 10 years old.
Because of her health conditions, I will be taking full guardianship of them also.

I'm going from a single mom struggling with my own 3 kids to now 14 kids without a dependable care provider.
I have many people working to get me guardianship or take the necessary steps to become a foster parent.

If I can foster, the state will assist financially, but they require a home big enough to prove I can do it.

We are fundraising to support the kids, all 14 of them. However, priority is to the 3 I have just moved in with us, and they have no dependable parent or guardian.

If our fundraiser is successful, our hopes are:
- Supplying kids with beds and mattresses
- Supplying kids with clothes and shoes
- Supplying kids with backpacks and back-to-school supplies
- Supplying food and essentials until government assistance is approved for them
- Supplying the 6-month-old with adequate formula, diapers, and wipes for feedings and changes
- Signing kids up for school, childcare, and sport activities
- Signing kids up for therapy and counseling
- Down payment on a bigger family vehicle to fit all kids
- Down payment on an affordable 4-bedroom home until Section 8 is approved
- Any additional donations will be considered for funeral expenses; however, priority is the children.

I have set the goal at $10,000
in hopes of $500 per kid (that would include bed, clothing, shoes, and back to school supplies)

Any funds remaining will be considered for a down payment on bigger car, or 4 bedroom home.

This fundraiser is urgent. If I can’t prove I can provide and take care of the kids, they will all end up going into the system. And this is something I’m trying to prevent.

My end goal is moving to an affordable 4-5 bedroom home and being approved for fostering them.

If you could consider a one-time donation, sponsoring a child, or even donating to ongoing support for the children.

Any help helps. I’ve moved them to Oakland from Los Angeles over the weekend.

They are fully moved in with me, and I don’t have the space nor supplies to help them.

IF YOU HAVE ANY DIAPERS, WIPES, FORMULA, FURNITURE, FOOD, AND CAN'T HELP WITH A DONATION AT THIS MOMENT, WE ARE ALSO ACCEPTING USED ITEMS FOR THE KIDS.

THANK YOU for your support.
