Tragedy in Lebanon:Help Our Family After Losing 8 Loved Ones

Hello All, my name is Alia Mortada. Never in a million years did I think I would have to do this but yet here I am, behind the computer screen typing this upset, shocked, and mad at what this world did to my family. Last Tuesday, November 12th 2024 we heard the devastating news that eight of our beloved family members were killed in their home in Lebanon when Israeli missiles struck their house. This devastating tragedy has left us grieving the loss of fathers, mothers, siblings, children, and cousins—individuals who meant the world to us. In the blink of an eye, our family was torn apart, and we are left not only with the unbearable pain of their absence but with the overwhelming burden of funeral costs and rebuilding what has been lost. All the money donated from gofundme will be sent to my Aunts Mona and Fadia Mortada via Western Union as they are the ones responsible for paying the expenses resulting from this disaster.

لم يخطر ببالي ولو بملايين الأعوام بأني سوف أقوم بهٰذا ، وهٰأنذا تجدني خلف شاشة الحاسوب أكتب بانزعاج وصدمة وغضبٍ عارم مما فعله هٰذا العالم لعائلتي.

في يوم الثلاثاء الماضي الواقع في ١٢ من تشرين الثاني ٢٠٢٤، سمعنا بمقتل ثمانية من أفراد عائلتنا المقربين جراء إطلاق صاروخٍ إسرائيلي عليهم خلال تواجدهم في منزلهم الواقع في لبنان.

هٰذه المأساة المدمرة جعلتنا نحزن لفراق الآباء ، الأمهات، الأخوة، الأطفال وأبناء الأعمام فهؤلاء الأشخاص كانوا يعنون لنا الحياة.

في غمضة عين تمزقت أواصر عائلتنا ولم يبق لنا سوى الألم الذي لا يطاق لفقدهم، إضافةً إلى ذلك أعباء تكاليف الجنازات وإعادة بناء ما فقدناه.

كل المبالغ المتبرع بها عبر تطبيق (GoFundMe)سوف ترسل لعماتي منى وفاديا مرتضى عبر ( Western Union)بما أنهما المسؤولتان عن تسديد النفقات الناتجة عن هذه الكارثة.
