Hola… soy Pau.

Los que me conocen saben lo importantes que son mis dos perritos, Loki y Nairobi.

Están conmigo desde 2018.

Me acompañaron cuando mi papá dejó este plano y han sido mi fortaleza para atravesar ese duelo y muchos otros momentos difíciles. No son solo perros. Han sido compañía cuando más la he necesitado.

Hace 3 años me mudé a Huatulco por trabajo. Solo pude traerme a Loki.

También quería traerme a Nairobi, pero necesitaba primero asegurar estabilidad y espacio para tenerla conmigo como se merece.

Mi mamá se quedó haciéndose cargo de ella todo este tiempo.

Ha hecho lo mejor que ha podido y estoy profundamente agradecida con ella. Pero la vida continua y ya es muy complicado para ella poderle seguir dando calidad de vida.

Yo me fui con una promesa clara:

que cuando tuviera estabilidad, regresaría por Nairobi.

Y esa estabilidad ya está sucediendo.

Pensé que lo haría con calma, ahorrar, organizar el viaje bien.

Pero hoy la situación cambió.

Amigos del Norte… ustedes ya se saben esta historia bien. Saben lo que me costó irme y dejarla.

Hoy necesito cumplir esa promesa.

Nairobi está grave en el veterinario en Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua.

Para mis amigos de Huatulco, eso está literal al otro lado del país, casi pegado a la frontera con Estados Unidos.

En coche son alrededor de 30 horas, 3 días manejando.

En avión implica escala en CDMX, llegar a Juárez o Chihuahua y todavía manejar casi 3 horas hasta llegar a casas grandes donde crecí.

No es algo sencillo. Y menos cuando es urgente.

Su salud se complicó y los gastos veterinarios están aumentando. Mi mamá ya no puede seguir haciéndose cargo y yo no quiero que Nairobi atraviese este momento lejos de mí.

La situación me está pidiendo hacerlo ya.

Los vuelos sin planeación son mucho más caros.

Trasladar una perrita enferma implica estabilizarla primero, conseguir la transportadora adecuada y cubrir su traslado aéreo.

No estaba preparada económicamente para hacerlo así de urgente… pero tampoco puedo esperar.

No quiero perderla.

Hi… it’s Pau.

Those who know me know how important my two dogs, Loki and Nairobi, are to me.

They’ve been with me since 2018.

They were by my side when my dad passed away, and they became my strength as I moved through that grief — and many other difficult moments in life. They’re not just dogs. They’ve been my comfort and my steady ground when I’ve needed it most.

Three years ago, I moved to Huatulco for work. I was only able to bring Loki with me.

I wanted to bring Nairobi too, but I needed to make sure I had stability and the right space to give her the life she deserves.

My mom has been taking care of her all this time.

She has truly done the best she could, and I’m deeply grateful to her. But life keeps moving, and it has become very difficult for her to continue giving Nairobi the quality of life she needs.

I left with a clear promise:

that once I was stable, I would come back for Nairobi.

And that stability is finally happening.

I thought I would do this calmly — save money, plan the trip properly, take it step by step.

But today, the situation has changed.

Friends from back home in the North… you know this story well. You know how hard it was for me to leave her behind.

Today, I need to keep that promise.

Nairobi is seriously ill at a veterinary clinic in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua.

For my friends in Huatulco, that’s literally on the other side of the country, near the U.S. border.

By car, it’s about 30 hours — nearly three days of driving.

By plane, it means flying with a layover in Mexico City, landing in Juárez or Chihuahua, and then driving almost three more hours to Casas Grandes, where I grew up.

It’s not simple. And even less so when it’s urgent.

Her health has worsened, and the veterinary expenses are increasing. My mom can no longer continue caring for her, and I don’t want Nairobi going through this far away from me.

This situation is asking me to act now.

Last-minute flights are significantly more expensive.

Transporting a sick dog means stabilizing her first, getting the proper travel crate, and covering her safe air transportation.

I wasn’t financially prepared to do this so suddenly… but I also can’t wait.

I don’t want to lose her.
