my mom, Tracy, suffered a stroke last week. On top of that, has found blood clots in her kidneys and in heart, as well as pneumonia in both her lungs.

As you can imagine, this came out of the blue just days before Tracy was supposed to fly out for work.

Tracy works as a rock truck driver in Fort MacMurray. Since her stroke, she will no longer be able to drive for work, nor would working up north be in the cards for her period. Tracy has been in the hospital a week now with no plans for discharge anytime soon.

We’ve been at the hospital everyday trying our best to support her and all her needs. We are looking and planning on what life will look like after she comes home and what needs will need support, how dependant she will be, and home modifications that will need to be considered (she will be moving home with us).

On top of all this, I am set to start my maternity leave and have another baby come April. The funds you donate, would help alleviate the stress of the additional costs associated with any medical devices, aids or modifications that may be required, as well as support basic everyday needs during this time of unknown.

I appreciate all of you for taking the time to read about Tracy. She is a fighter and hanging on to her quick witted spirit, but she has a long road of recovery ahead of her and we would appreciate any support. Prayers, positive thinking, etc, we'll take it all.
