Tracy’s IgAN Journey
Donation protected
Hi everyone! I appreciate all of the financial assistance that I have received since last July. I was diagnosed with Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis in May. In late June I became very sick. This ER visit turned into a two week hospital stay. A kidney biopsy confirmed that I had Immunoglobulin A Nephropathy, or IgAN. In order to filter the waste from my kidneys (that I couldn’t do alone), I started dialysis. My kidney function was 11% and not life sustaining without this. We managed to get my function to 19% and I was allowed to go home on very high doses of prednisone, blood pressure meds and statins. In August I made the decision to apply for disability. I was, and stay, weak and short of breath, with tons of brain fog and frequent pain and swelling. This is not a disease that goes away. Eventually I will be on dialysis and put on a kidney transplant list. My request to others is to continue to give the girls and I financial blessings until I get disability. I have been unable to work since late June and have had additional hospitalizations and ER visits. My savings was depleted a long time ago. We still need assistance with medical bills, utilities, heat, house bill, groceries, and everything else you can imagine a family puts out each month. This has been very hard on the girls and we have had conversations I wish I didn’t need to have. They are so brave. I just want to be able to keep our place, and for things to be as “normal” as possible.
It’s not easy to continue to ask for help. If you have given just know that your prayers mean so much. My family and friends have done so much for me, but they can’t do everything. I’m currently sitting at 24% kidney function. This is considered stage 4 out of 5.
We have cut so many corners and have been utilizing any public aid we can get. If you have a rainy day fund, and can assist us, we would be so grateful (no amount too small.) We are eternally grateful for it your act of kindness. ❤️
If you prefer to Venmo my account is @tracy-evans-104- thank you
