As I read her story this morning it just broke my heart. People should not lose everything they have worked for because of an illness. Can we please try to help in some way? By donating even, a little it can go a long way in helping pay towards medical and monthly bills, so she doesn’t have to give up all that she has worked hard to achieve. It could also take some pressure off her children, so they don’t have to pay bills on her behalf.

She’s currently at $6,500.00 out of pocket, but with more treatments and medications it will keep going up and that does not include monthly household bills.

This maybe long but I need to release some energy. I was told 8 months ago that I had lung cancer Stage 3c inoperable. So, on 2/17 I started radiation and chemo until the end of March 30 rounds of radiation and 6 rounds of chemo. I really never complained even when I couldn’t eat swallow or sleep or all I did was sleep. After treatment I was alone everyday not like going to hospital every day. So, my depression rapidly rushed over me and started to drag me, but I dug my heels in and caught myself and climbed back out. Finally, I got to go back to work on 5/17 I was so damn happy back with my girls. Treatment plan wasn’t over I had started immunotherapy to boost my own system to fight the cancer. Well on 5/28 I had the worse headache ever and dr wanted to see me so off to cville. I had to have a ct scan on my head and the verdict came back that the cancer has spread to my brain, 6 legions so needed more radiation but this was different this was direct radiation so I had 3 rounds 4 shots each. Now I’m stage 4. So out of work and no driving for 8 weeks. Made it thru June not sure how but I did. July 2 around 430 my husband notices I am acting weird. Naw just having a stroke over here. Airlifted to uva to remove blood clot in my brain again I survived like nothing had happened. Then on 7/27 my follow up MRI showed 2 more spots again radiation on 8/4 the very next morning at 3:45 seizures started and admitted to hospital. I can tell you cancer is not for the weak and if you aren’t going to battle you are not going to win. I haven’t been given a fair playing field but I’m making the best I can do. I’m on disability thru work but that’s about to end if I get on ss disability. I have hospital bills out the ass no extra money My family stepped up to help pay the monthly regular bills so I won’t stress lol I stress about everything bills bills and more bills and they are about to start over again. No assistance because omg we had jobs and worked and had insurance oh my. My insurance has already paid almost 1/2 million on me and I can’t gather $6500 to pay them. I have to sell my little sports car that I worked really hard on paying for and the upkeep I had just bought a new vehicle newest I’ve ever had 2018 for everything to be taken from me all my savings my ira anything I have I’m losing bc of this disease. I turned 50 in January and my present the week before was this great news. This was supposed to be Donny and I’s year -South Dakota -our year of the fives. Me 50 married 5 years and he turns 55 in October. F you 2021 I want a do over!!! To everyone fighting keep fighting it’s a mindset and I wanna live!!!kick me as hard as you want but watch me get right back up dust it off and battle some more. I am my mother’s child #Fact yes I’m pissed who wouldn’t be. I do want to say this. It’s very lonely sitting here and I wish I could see and talk to more people but again I am not allowed to drive. Depression will soon pop up again and it’s getting harder each time. Pray for us all
