Tracy’s Colon Cancer Fight
Donation protected
We never thought in a million years we would be doing this for our beautiful friend Tracy. The unthinkable has happened and has affected our whole world. Tracy went into the ER for what she thought was just stomach pains, and was soon thereafter admitted to the hospital for Stage 3 Adenocarcinoma of the Colon, Cancer of the Colon. They scheduled a PET scan shortly after to see if anything spread to the other parts of the body. Tracy had her PET scan at the beginning of April, and thankfully, this didn’t spread to other parts of her other major organs. This did hit her lymph nodes in the abdomen as they are in the advanced stage. She is working with an excellent team at St. Vincent’s and Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee and has a treatment plan to attack this head-on. She will be going through aggressive rounds of chemo and then surgery to remove the tumor. Than shortly after surgery going back in for another 6 rounds of chemo. Tracy has no other option but to take short-term disability, and on top of all this, Her current insurance is dropping her at the end of the month making her have to apply for a marketplace plan with a high premium with worse benefits to continue her care with her current cancer team. She is going to need help covering all the overwhelming bills soon to hit her front door and also being the sole provider for her 2 boys and herself. This can’t be another burden when she is carrying so much already. Tracy is such a staple in our community, she was born and raised in Green Bay, and the past 15 years has worked as a dental hygienist at non profit dental clinics for low income/high risk children and more recently children and veterans. Any help is so greatly appreciated even if you can’t donate, please share with friends and family. Thank you for reading, and we will have monthly updates on her journey and keep everyone in the loop.
