Tracy's Cancer Battle

I'm writing this to describe what many of you already know and to what many of you may come as a surprise. My wife Tracy is currently battling cancer and we are asking for some help. Tracy is a nurturing mother to our two children (Zander and Dahlia), a grateful daughter and daughter-in-law, a loving wife, an endearing friend, and a breast cancer survivor.

Tracy was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in March of 2015. Since then she has undergone constant and in-tense chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, radiation therapy, and spinal injections. Anyone who knows Tracy know's how strong she is, and this is no exception. She has marched forward with strength and fortitude, grace and gratitude. Recent developments in Tracy's condition have led to our decision to be closer to her family and optimize our time together as a family. We are looking forward to our new adventures that await in the sunshine state, and would encourage anyone that wants to visit to come on down. It's time to embrace life and live it to the fullest! 

We are asking donations to help fund a family trip and move from our home in Portland to be with Tracy's family in Florida.

I will be taking a two month leave of absence from my work and Tracy, Zander, Dahlia and I will be making the transition from September to October.

We are asking for some assistance financially for travel costs and supplemental income during the leave of absence.

It is not a comfortable position to be in to ask for help, and many of our friends and family have been asking if they can start a go-fund-me campaign. I asked them all to allow me to do it, so here it is. We have been humbled by the outpouring we have received from friends and family, and my heart has been warmed to see how many people Tracy has truly touched over the years. I feel blessed to have her and our kids in my life, and we as a family have been blessed to have all of you in ours. We are and will continue to be eternally grateful for any and all help we have and will receive in this journey.
