Tracy Renner’s Road To Recovery

Our Stepdad, the man who chose and raised us for the past 30+ years, is in a battle for his life against COVID.

Our Dad tested positive for COVID back on the 8th of September. Since then, we have been on a ROLLERCOASTER! He was admitted to the hospital in Huron, SD for a week before being airlifted to Sioux Falls, SD as he simply was not progressing & having difficulty keeping his oxygen stable. He spent a few nights in the ICU at Avera Hospital and was then internally transferred to an Acute Pulmonary Unit. Wednesday, September 29th he took a turn for the worst and returned to the ICU where he currently remains.

He is alternating between high flow supplemental oxygen and CPAP requiring 80-85% supplemental oxygen to keep his breathing stable. WE ARE NO WHERE NEAR OUT OF THE WOODS, but are celebrating little victories as at one point he wasn’t able to tolerate any position other than on his stomach! Today, we celebrate the fact that he can sit up and eat a little, watch some Cowboys/Irish football, and enjoy the occasional visitor! We are living moment to moment leaning on our Faith in Gods Healing Hands!

With that said, due to him being airlifted to Sioux Falls, his wife (our bonus Mom) Sarah Renner, must stay at a hotel to be present with him as he is currently in ICU, where thankfully she can be with him throughout the day, but has to leave once guest hours are over.

We are asking for financial support to help ease some stressors so our Dad can focus on his recovery, and we can keep his wife by his side. Your generosity will be used to pay essential bills such as hotel fees while hospitalized, rent, utilities, and medical expenses. We appreciate any contribution your heart feels compelled to give.
