Our good friend and community chicken expert Tracy Lorz Murphy has found herself in a desperate situation that requires a rapid, emergency relocation to move back with her family in Eastern Washington. While respecting as much privacy as possible, Tracy is bravely willing to share the following details:

On Monday, July 13, Tracy instantly became a single mother of 6 children due to the discovery that her partner of 9 years (and father of 3 of her kids) has been inflicting sexual abuse on one of her children for the past 2 years.

This is every parent's absolute worst nightmare. As a suddenly-single mother without an income, a partner, or a home, Tracy needs our help. Please give $5 or $50, whatever amount you can spare. We want to raise enough money for Tracy to immediately escape this situation safely and begin the long road of therapy and recovery for her family.

For 7 years (yes--seven!), Tracy has donated her time, expertise, and loving advice to the now 16,000+ members of the Western Washington Poultry page.
