The Tracy family has experienced some financial setbacks due to Jeff Tracy's surmounting medical costs. Due to liver disease, Jeff has now been placed in hospice care as his organs are beginning to shut down and he has been given only a few weeks to live. Before this, he has been in and out of nursing homes and hospitals for the last few months and has been on disability for the last couple of years. When life insurance was lost, the family purchased a new plan that has not accrued much, as of yet. Kristin has been working part-time while caring for Jeff and transporting him to and from his medical appointments. Many of you know Jeff from the many organizations that he has been a part of in the previous years, his kids in school, and his wife, Kristin, who is a 4K Teacher at the Primary school. When the Tracy's infant son, Tyler, passed away in 2003, Kristin and Jeff raised funds for a sibling care center at UW Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. Jeff was President of Harmony Grove Association, President of the Lodi Parks Commission, a Boy Scout Leader, and played Santa for 3 years at the Lodi Primary School. As you can see he was very active in the Lodi community. As a family, they also helped Kristin through her treatments and recovery from breast cancer. The Tracy's have a son in college and a son in 8th grade that are still under their care. While trying to recover from their financial losses, the family will now be faced with imminent funeral costs. The lung taps, ambulance rides to the ER, multiple tests, and medical interventions are all adding up and bills are coming due. Financially, the burden has become too great for Kristin to handle alone and she could use her friends' support. It will be a long road for the Tracy family without a happy ending and this will help lift some of the burden.
