Hello. My name is Tracy Cruz and I’m a singer, songwriter, vocal coach, and recording artist from the Bay Area (California). I’m fundraising for the completion and promotion of my new album Sun After the Reign. I’ve been an independent artist since 2004.  I’m in the process of actively completing my album Sun After the Reign, an R&B/Soul album that discusses love, hope, encouragement, and resilience through the storms of life. I started working on this album back in 2019 but had to postpone it numerous times due to the pandemic and limited budget without the backing of a major label. My goal is to finish the album by May 2023 and release it in August 2023. I’ve performed at various notable music venues and events such as Yoshi’s, SF Jazz, Mr. Tipples, San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, Harlow’s, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Tempe Center for the Arts (Arizona), San Jose Jazz Festival, San Jose Juneteenth Festival, Rockwood Music Hall (New York), Beyu Caffe (North Carolina), San Francisco Juneteenth Festival, Undiscovered SF, Filipino Heritage Night at the San Francisco Giants Game, and more. I have won several music awards including the 2022 Intercontinental Music Awards for “Best of North America in the R&B genre”, 2022 Josie Music Award for “Vocalist of the Year” (R&B/Soul), 2022 One Earth Award GOLD for “Best Jazz Single”, 2021 InterContinental Music Awards “Best of North America” in the R&B category, 2020 Gold International Singer Songwriters Association Award for “Female Emerging Artist of the Year”, World Songwriter Award for “Best R&B Song”, 2020 National Black Music Award for “Best Recorded Song” and 2020 Bay Area Black Music Award for “Best Female Neo Soul Performer”. I have also received multiple nominations including seven Hollywood Music in Media nominations and five Soultracks.com Readers Choice Awards and have been featured on Soultrain.com, BBC Radio, Jazz FM, Soulbounce.com, and Soultracks.com. The funds raised here will be used for mixing and mastering 8 songs, radio/ playlist promotion, and a music video.  I have won one grant so far and have combined my own personal savings to assist in recording this album.
