TRACY BUTLER MURPHY'S FAMILY

There is never a good time for to hear from your doctor that you are dying, but it seems particularly crewel at Christmas time! Such is what is happening to my friend, Tracy, now! Admittedly Tracy had been having a bad month before this horrible health news. Her boyfriend of 5 years abandoned her for a younger woman. Tracy lost her home and car at the same time; because, although she had been helping to pay for both, the titles were in his name...
When Tracy’s doctor told her last week of his fear that she had Cancer, Tracy was surprised: 1) because she had been feeling pretty well, but also 2) because years before she had been “cured” of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after chemo and radiation, and had had no intervening recurrence.
Tracy’s doctor rushed her to OHSU for much more testing. Last Friday the Specialists got back to Tracy with their findings:
“You have Inoperable, Stage 4, Pancreatic Cancer, and it is Terminal.”
Even though Tracy is facing this horrendous diagnosis without a home or a car of her own, no significant other to hold her, no money for medical co-pay, palliative care, funeral planning, etc., she NEVER would have reached out and asked for financial help! Rather, it is those of us who know this bright, witty, talented, loving (not only of family and friends; but, she’s putting her love into action by taking care of her aging mother), and generous person, who are insisting on letting y’all know of Tracy’s predicament. We believe if you knew of the darkness Tracy faces this final Christmas of her life, you would want to share your Holiday Love. Please know any little gift is greatly appreciated and will brighten Tracy and her families’ Holidays. Blessings to you all.
