Help Us Bring a Tractor to Vale Ondula!

What We Need
We are busy working the land, planting food forests, restoring soil, and building shared spaces. But some tasks are simply too big to handle with wheelbarrows and hand tools alone.
That’s why we’re raising €17,500 for a tractor, essential attachments, and a wood chipper—a game-changer for our land stewardship! With the right equipment, we can move heavy stones, clear overgrown areas, and care for the land in a way that’s both efficient and sustainable.
Who We Are
Vale Ondula is a permaculture living lab and eco-community. As the stewards of 3.6 ha of forest in Northern Portugal, we strive for a regenerative ecosystem where nature and community thrive.
Together, we’re reimagining food systems, water management, and energy resilience. Our families, elders, and volunteers cultivate not only the land but also a culture rooted in lifelong learning, sustainable living, and mutual care.
Why a Tractor?
Right now, we spend countless hours on backbreaking work—hauling mulch, shifting rocks, and preparing the soil by hand. A tractor and wood chipper would allow us to:
- Improve and expand our community spaces
- ️Maintain shared infrastructure and pathways
- Take on bigger restoration projects, like water management
- Process branches and organic material into valuable mulch for soil regeneration
