On April 10th 2026, my Mom went to the ER after she had been feeling sick, running fevers, exhausted, and not getting any better; we suspected pneumonia. So she went thinking they were going to treat her and send her home. Instead, a doctor pulled us into a room and said something no family is ever prepared for:

“I’m sorry, but it’s not pneumonia. It appears there’s a large cancerous mass on your lung.”

Since then our lives have completely changed. It’s been appointment after appointment, scans, biopsies, specialists, and waiting for answers. After her biopsy, we were told it looks like she has stage 3-4 Adenocarcinoma, which is known as Lung Cancer…

Right now we are waiting on more results to prepare for the long road ahead with treatments, testing, and everything that comes with fighting cancer. But if you know my Mom, Traci, then you know that she is strongest woman to fight this. And that she is the kind of person who would help anyone without hesitation. She’s strong, hardworking, loving, and the person everyone leans on. Seeing her go through this has been heartbreaking.

Anyone who knows a family or loved one who has dealt with cancer knows how stressful it is, not only mentally but financially. I created this GoFundMe to help take some of that stress off of her and our family so she can focus on fighting and healing.
