Tracey lived in a modest home in Waleska. She living with her daughter who recently had a very bad fracture to her lower leg that required surgery, and does not allow her to put weight on it for at least 3 months and so uses a walker to get around. Tracey also recently had a serious car accident that totalled her vehicle, and left her with medical problems. She has not yet gotten reimbursed by insurance and so has no vehicle. Well, we all know that when it rains, it pours.
Tracey and her daughter were dealing with their challenges the best that they could. But yesterday afternoon they were dealt a crushing blow. When they returned home from a doctor appointment they found the main breaker tripped at the breaker box. They didn't see anything wrong and so made the fateful move of flipping it back on. When she did that it started a fire that quickly engulfed her house in flames. Praise God they were able to get put unharmed physically. But they had to leave everything inside to do it. They didnt get so much as a purse or a cell. They only have the clothes on their backs.
Making this even worse is the fact that there is no insurance on the house. Suffice it to say that this isnt a decision that she wanted to make. But in her circumstances there was little choice. Now they are homeless, without a car, clothes, money, I.D., or any long term options. That house was their only security and it was ripped away from them. They need to have a small house rebuilt on the land, or at least a trailer to put there. We aren't making this goal higher, not because they doen't need more to them back on their feet, but because we aren't sure exactly how much they would need. We know that this much is already a lot of money, but think of how much it would cost to replace everything you own. If you can give generously and help us exceed this goal or if you have a trailer or services to donate to get them back into a home, it would be truly appreciated. We also request prayers that God will work a miracle out of this disaster and make everything come together.
