As many of you know, our beloved Tracey has been courageously battling congestive heart failure. For a while, we were hopeful. It seemed she was slowly on the road to recovery. However, on April 8th, everything changed. Tracey was rushed back to the hospital in the middle of the night with chest pain and a strange cough. Since then, she has endured countless tests, procedures, and transfers between some of the best medical facilities available in Houston.

Despite the incredible efforts of her medical team, we have now received the news no family ever wants to hear. The doctors have exhausted every possible treatment. She is officially diagnosed with end-stage heart failure. She will soon be coming home on hospice care to spend her final days surrounded by the people who love her most. Her physicians believe she may have just a week left once she is removed from the machines.

Our hearts are shattered. We are preparing to say goodbye to a woman who means so much to all of us. A devoted mother, a true friend, a proud nurse, a warm, generous spirit whose love touched every life she encountered.

As we begin to navigate this heartbreaking journey, we’re also facing the heavy burden of mounting medical costs and the expenses of giving Tracey the peaceful, dignified farewell she deserves.
