On 7/3/21 Tracey & Shannon were rear ended by a drunk driver while on the motorcycle. The impact caused them to be crushed by the front of the car before ejecting them from the motorcycle. They were both rushed to the ER and admitted to ICU. Shannon was crushed by the car resulting in a bleeding on the brain, broken neck, severe road rash wounds, and a deep gash on her ankle. Her movement is restricted due to being in a neck brace, having to use a walker, and not being able to move well with the wounds. Tracey was pushed into the handle bars causing damage to his spleen and various other intestinal organs. The surgeons initially did surgery to repair his spleen. After monitoring him in ICU for a day, they found he had internal bleeding along with several other intestinal problems. They had to do emergency surgery to remove his spleen and repair the intestines resulting in an ileostomy. He will need several more surgeries in the future. Since then he has developed a lung infection. He has been in ICU for over a week.
Tracey & Shannon have two beautiful boys, Trey (8) and Trent (3). This family has always been very active together, so you can imagine the impact this had.
This tragic accident has greatly impacted them, their family, and results in them not being able to work and provide for quite some time. Shannon recently started a new job and isn't eligible for any benefits to supplement her income. Tracey is a fire fighter and may not be able to ever return to work.
Hospital expenses have been increasing every day and bills aren't going anywhere. This is a fund to help supplement their income to pay for bills, food, attorney fees, and any other expenses they come across.
Those of you that know Tracey & Shannon, truly know that these two would do anything they could to help someone in need.
