Tracey Needs Our Help: Medical Expenses
Donation protected
I am the President of the Greater New Orleans Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta.
The Greater New Orleans Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is starting a GoFundMe account for our dear sister and friend, Tracey Cannon. Tracey grew up in St. Bernard and attended Andrew Jackson High School. Like many from St. Bernard who lost everything, Tracey started over on the West Bank, following Hurricane Katrina. Tracey has been a devoted member of Alpha Xi Delta (University of New Orleans), where she served as Treasurer during her college years, and she served as an Advisor to the Collegiate chapter for many years. Tracey is also a member of The Amelia EarHawts, which is a Mardi Gras dance troupe. Tracey enjoys dancing with the "Hawts" during Mardi Gras and cherishes her time with them. When Tracey is not dancing in parades, she can be found at home playing with Scooby, her dog.
About a year ago, she began having stomach pains every time she ate. Fast forward to today. After numerous tests, Tracey has been diagnosed with Chronic Mesenteric Ischemia. The blood vessels to her intestines are blocked, and she cannot digest food properly. She is limited as to what she can eat. Surgery is an option, but according to her doctor, it would not be a good outcome. Because of the time lost from work, Tracey was laid off, thus losing her only source of income and her health insurance. To help Tracey with her adding medical costs, we thought a GoFundMe would help. She's very humble and does not want to ask anyone for help. So, we, her sorority sisters, are asking for her. Please find it in your hearts to help our sister. Any amount of donation will help. Your generosity is appreciated.
Thank you, the Sisters of Alpha Xi Delta, the Greater New Orleans Alumnae Chapter.
