Tracey & Joe Vanderschaegen
Donation protected
On Thursday, December 6th Tracey and Joe Vanderschaegen lost their home in an overnight fire. Fortunately, Tracey, Joe and their dog were able to escape unharmed.
The fire caused the first floor to collapse into the basement, taking with it all the Vanderschaegen's belongings. The Hartford Fire Department returned to the home a second time later in the morning to extinguish a second fire that had started. The home is a total loss.
Tracey is a 13 year veteran of Homes for Independent Living serving currently as the Client Services Manager for the Washington Region. Prior to her 2018 promotion Tracey served as a group home Supervisor and a Program Coordinator. She has dedicated her life to helping those less fortunate.
Tracey is known to be genuine, kind, considerate, and compassionate. Making it her mission to make those around her feel special, appreciated and loved.
It is our turn now to show Tracey, and Joe, the same kindness she has shown our staff and clients for the past 13 years. Please consider a cash donation to help Tracey and Joe rebuild and recover from this devastating loss.
