Trace's Horse Accident Medical Fund

If words could describe a true gentleman, it would be Trace Barrett.  Trace has been in Los Angeles for over 10 years now as an aspiring actor and true horseman. He has a knack for talent and a soft hand for training horses. if anyone knows the trails and stories of Griffith Park, it is Trace. He is a leader, a teacher, and a confidant. Lucky for him, he met the love of his life, Ashley, at Sunset Ranch in Hollywood. He has always been a hard worker, but he works even harder for his family: his wife, two horses, three cats.... and a baby girl on the way.
I must digress for a second, and give you all a little personal story (Which so many people have) I was riding with Trace one evening, and my horse spooked. We went tumbling down a hill about 60 feet. My life personally flashed in front of my eyes. Trace did not leave my side. With broken ribs and a horse still down the trevine, he climbed down the cliff and stayed with my horse for 4 hours. We were lucky enough to get both of us out alive. Not once did he leave either of our sides.
Trace was involved in a very bad horse accident on Tuesday 2/9/16. He and is friend John were practicing for a show, and Atlas, his big black Percheron, spooked and ran off. Trace was dragged through the arena in a very bad way by a massive draft horse. Some of his injuries: He has a badly broken thumb at the base of his hand. He is going to have to get a full cast and most likely pins. He has a badly bruised shoulder but thankfully not broken. Here is the bad part... Other than a broken nose and knocked out teeth, he broke his orbital wall above his left eye.... meaning he broke his skull. The fact that he had no nerve or brain damage is simply a miracle. He has to go in for surgery on Monday to start the repairs and a long recovery.

Here is where the gofundme is hopefully going to help their family out. So far, the estimate for him being out of work is at least 2 months.   Ashley is very pregnant and cannot work as much as she would like, so their income is going to be minimal.  Not only that, but their deductible is $6000, with each doctor visit starting at $95 each.  There are multiple surgeries, physical therapy, and medication ahead.   So between the loss of income and the medical bills, I am estimating a potential goal of $25000.  Needless to say, our friends need a little help.

The hardest part is asking people for help when you have a moment of financial struggle.  This site saved me when I was in a financial struggle.  My friends had to set one up for me becasue, like Trace, I always wanted to help people... not ask for help.  So, I am now asking everyone to help out this family.  Any little bit helps.
Sincerely, Daly Parker
