Hi, my name is Sheri and I’m fundraising for my dear friend Trace Aiken. See my video message below.

Trace has been hit by a series of devastating catastrophes in the last couple of years and is now homeless, carless, and jobless and living on the streets in Plant City, Florida. I can only imagine how desperate and alone he feels right now. Trace is a really fine person with a big, giving heart, and I just want to try to help him out.

I first met Trace while we were working on the Mythic Journeys conferences in Atlanta in 2004, where he helped organize our international art exhibit. Trace is a very gifted photographer (you can see his beautiful work here ), but he had to put his art on hold a few years ago to help care for his sick and elderly parents. He became their full-time caregiver.

Trace’s mother died a couple of years ago, so he took care of his stepdad full time. They shared an apartment for low-income seniors until his stepdad died, forcing Trace out of their home.

Trace had nowhere else to go and has had no real income as a full-time caregiver other than doing some online mentoring of other photographers. So now he’s got no home, no car, no steady internet service, and no source of income. On top of that, he’s facing some health challenges and needs rest and medical attention. With no family to live with, Trace is in a very precarious position.

Trace just needs some help to lift him out of the hole he’s in, and so I’m asking you to contribute so that he can get a used car, get into safe housing, rest and get well so he can work again, and get the food and medications he needs.

I’m hoping that with our help, he can get back on his feet, stabilize his life, and then keep sharing his talents and warm, caring heart with the world and helping other photographers share their gifts too.
