I love my daughter more than anything.

I am a disabled father of an only child who is graduating from college on June 14.  She is 1700 miles away from me.  It is extremely important I be there for her.  We talk and text all the time, but we seldom get to see each other in person.  The last time was her 18th birthday 3 years ago.  Before that it was 5 years.  This is an important event since it is her graduation, her 21st birthday, and  Fathers' Day all rolled into one trip. Long distance connections just aren't the same.  

 I am an insulin dependent diabetic and stroke survivor. I have advanced nerve damage in my extremities.  I am a recent below the knee amputee. 

 I applied for Social Security disability in November, but my application is still pending.  I have not worked since June and my savings ran out in November.  My family has been helping me survive and they can’t help me with this.

The money I’m asking for will cover transportation and incidentals for the entire trip.  Unfortunately Southern California is expensive. This is a memory that will sustain both my daughter and me for a very long time.

 This will be my first trip as an amputee.  It’s going to be an adventure!
