Update...Corey Mattert passed away at 11pm on Thursday, May 9th 2019...
Corey Mattert was diagnosed with liver cancer on December 28th,2018 and his Family needs your help for funeral expenses, for Corey does not have Life Insurance.Corey is currently surrounded by his loving Family in Hospice Care...Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated and Family is so grateful for any help offered.
Corey was hoping to beat this, but very recently took a turn for the worse, before any treatment could be started. Corey is hanging on,but time is sadly not on his side.
Corey is 48 years old,he has two Sons Shawn and Levi and considers the Daughter's of his Soulmate Chelise (Savannah and Layla) as his own Daughters...3 Grandchildren,a Sister Sandi and three Brothers Bill,Rick and Tim. Corey also has numerous friends that he considers as Family.
Corey finally met his Soulmate Chelise in January 2017 and was so looking forward to loving her and growing old together and creating many more memories to come. Corey finally felt "at home" with Chelise.
Corey enjoys music, singing and playing guitar, loves the Beatles and numerous other bands, bicycling, nature and loves animals, especially his dog Mya...Corey would speak to the animals and they would speak back, even approach him with no fear.
Corey was the life of any place he attended, quick witted and loved jokes and voice impersonations and his contagious laugh will echoe in the minds of everyone that knew him.Corey loved making others smile and to know their self worth, he truly didn't want to see anyone sad...Corey loved taking bicycle parts/frames and assembling very unique bikes, even adding motors at times.Corey also loved hiking...The little things in life are what made Corey happiest. Helping others, even when needing help himself...this was what Corey believed in.
Corey is a person that anyone would have wanted as a friend, with a kind gentle soul, with a tremendous love for life. Corey loved to discover new places and meet new people . A music fanatic and could tell you
anything you needed to know about music. Corey also had a creative mind for writing beautiful poetry, always a pen handy in case he was inspired at any given moment. Corey wasn't a materialistic person, he understood and knew that we only have one go around in life and he wasn't the type of person that wasted it. Instead of seeking material things,  Corey used his time to enjoy everything this beautiful world had to offer him. If Webster's dictionary had a definition for the term "people person" it would indeed have Corey's photo as a reference.Corey loved America and loved God and trusted God's plan for him.
Corey grew up in Palmyra,Wi.
Corey enjoyed the Packers,Bucks and Brewers. Corey loved the changing Season's in Wisconsin, but considered Arizona his 2nd home.
Corey had many sayings, but one seems fitting to share here..."No matter what you're going through, always remember that you are not alone".
The Family and Friend's of Corey wish to thank each and every one of you in advance for any help, sharing the fundraiser, kind words and prayers. The Mattert Family is very grateful for each and every one of you.
With your help,we can do this together...Bless all of you for helping.
