Hello everyone, my name is Claire and I am making this Gofundme on behalf of my bestfriend Michelle.

During this time I am asking for friends and family to come together to help support Michelle and her family during a very difficult time.

Over the last 2 years michelle has experienced a decline in her health and has been faced with a challenging future.

Michelle has been in and out of the hospital and meeting with multiple doctors to try to advocate for herself and find out what is going on with her health.

March of 2023 Michelle was hospitalized for DVT and had 4 pulmonary embolisms in her lungs and was placed on blood thinners.

Around October 2024 Michelle was hospitalized for over a month for dehydration, malnutrition and was incoherent for a portion of her stay. The doctors advised Michelle’s organs were starting to shut down and were unsure if she was going to make it. During this time in the hospital is was also determined that she had a TBI due to a fall from before she was admitted to the hospital and that she sustained a suspected stroke. Through all this Michelle fought and advocated for herself to get help by medical professions and had thought things were on the right track. Michelle improved and was discharged after approximately 45 days of being hospitalized.

Unfortunately at the beginning of this year Michelle needed to have a G tube placed for malnutrition and has been hospitalized on multiple occasions from days to weeks at a time trying to get care.

February 2025 providers advised she has adult failure to thrive and is facing hospice.

However, Michelle is a fighter and continued to advocate for herself. She is now currently in a health rehabilitation facility to receive care and get to a better place with her health.

During this difficult time Michelle cannot work, pay rent/bills and cannot provide for her family. Michelle has exhausted all short term disability options and was denied long term disability. She has also used all FMLA coverage and uncertain if she will have a job to return to.
