Help us, help our parents

We are setting up this funding page in a hope to raise some money to support our parents through this troubling time.  Please read our story and try understand why we are attempting to ease some stress and pressure from their life. Once you've read it and if you feel you'd like to help them please do so by donating. We understand that the world is very different right now and our purse strings are a lot tighter than normal, but every little helps and this would make such a difference to our family right now.  Our mother, Karen, is a wonderful woman who supports her family and dotes on her 5 children and 9 grandchildren.  In 2005 Karen was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and went through some intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Karen became too poorly to work and her and David soon started to struggle with mortgage payments,on top of all of that the life insurance wrongfully didn't pay out despite it being in their policy. Unfortunately they lost the family home and had to move into a rented house. Thankfully Karen beat the cancer and was in remission. Karen returned to work and they began to rebuild their lives again in hope to buy a home once more. Every 6-months Karen would get checked then that moved to annually and she still remained clear.  Karen has been a huge support for her family, she helped one of her son's to support his children while he grieved the loss of his wife who sadly passed at the age of 27 due to cervical cancer, she supported her husband after the death of his brother who also so lost his fight with cancer and recently he also lost his mother. She supports us all in various ways and has even been a birthing partner, she is an all-round amazing woman. Karen and David got back on their feet in 2019 and got the keys to their own home! They were proud as punch and deserved it so much, but in 2019 the Cancer came back and was a lot more aggressive than the first time. Karen started some intense chemotherapy on her birthday in November 2019, and has been having continual treatment to this very day, including radiotherapy and weeks and weeks of overnight stays at derriford hospital with no visitors due to lock down. Most recently she has been accepted for Car T Cell therapy treatment in Bristol, which will mean staying in Bristol for at least 4 weeks.  Karen's wages have literally halved and David is currently furloughed. We cannot and will not let our parents lose their home again for reasons out of our control.  The whole family have always been very charitable raising literally thousands of pounds for charities, mainly for Macmillan and cancer research due to it being so close to home, all this money and so much more raised by millions of others help these amazing charities but what about the real people living the nightmare everyday.  We really want to help our parents to keep their home, help get funds to go towards their mortgage or council tax or utility bills. We also want to help with travel expenses to Bristol for David so he can be there as much as he can for mum without having to worry about getting to work to pay the bills.  We can't do this just between us siblings, we all have children and homes of our own.  So we are asking those that have offered their help and support in the past that now is the time that we need it.  Thank you.
