Mika's Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
Hey all,
When we rescued Mika in October, we did not foresee spending New Year's Eve at the emergency vet for a lesion on her hip. After the doctors started surgery, further exploration revealed a tennis ball-sized amount of necrotic skin, tissue, and muscle on her back left hip that needed to be removed to prevent sepsis.
She was left with a 6" wound that was close to everything on the backside of a dog. Two more surgeries later, the wound is almost closed, and she's recovering well!
While we are able to keep up with the 24/7 at-home care and prescriptions, the vet bills have added up to more than we can handle. The surgeries performed have saved her life and back leg.
We're not used to asking people for financial help, but this experience has been way more than we ever expected for our crazy husky rescue. We are deeply thankful for our friends and family and are asking for any donations to help us with Mika's past three surgeries.
