I’m Syd (they/them), I’m 24 years old and I would like to get something off my chest.

The purpose of this fundraising is that I am trying to raise money to pay for a double mastectomy (top surgery). This surgery would be life-changing for me in so many ways, and the thought of a reality where I can feel comfortable within my body makes me feel so indescribably calm and happy. It would be, quite literally, the biggest weight off of my chest.

Top surgery at my clinic of choice is around £7,700. In order to be able to have access to the procedure, there is a fairly lengthy process to go through, including appointments with psychologists and consultations. This is all extremely costly, which is why I am asking for donations via this page to enable me to have a chance of affording it and hopefully come a little closer to being my authentic self.
