Zephaniah’s Recovery
Donation protected
On Tuesday, December 11th, my nephew, Zephaniah was rushed to the local ER. The Doctor there had diagnosed him with a mild ear infection.
On Wednesday, December 12th, he started to have some vomiting a few hours after taking ibuprofen and his antibiotics.
On Friday, December 14th, he was very sleepy but he did open his eyes and was dazed. That night he started having diarrhea as well. My sister alerted the ER who continued to identify the symptoms to the medication. The next day there was no improvement, so he was taken to a different ER. By this time he was clearly in pain from the cries he let out. After many blood tests nothing could be seen until a LP puncture was completed and Meningitis was the case. He was transferred by ambulance to the OU children’s hospital.
A CT scan was then done showing swelling in the brain and infected fluid surrounding the brain. Also, because of the infected fluid he suffered a stroke and began to have seizures. The blood work showed that the infection had spread into his blood system. They also had to place ear tubes and drain the fluid from his ears. Once they placed the tubes, According to the ENT he has lost his hearing to the infection. They scheduled an MRA and an MRI, this then showed us that he has a lot of infected areas around the brain. It also showed some brain damage to the frontal lobes. They did an EEG to determine what exactly is going on and pinpoint his seizures to see what will be affected.
Today, December 19th, he is stable and sedated to help with seizures. The swelling has not gotten worse, and the infection is now cleared from his blood system.
Unfortunately, this has caused my sister’s husband Michael to miss many days of work. Because my sister is a stay at home mom, Michael is the sole provider which has put them in a difficult financial situation. We decided to set up a fund to help with all needed medical/ home bills, and daily finances so that they both can focus on Zephaniah’s recovery and be there every step of the way.

Thank you in advance.
My sister would like to acknowledge that the power of the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob our son will make a full recovery and be home soon!
