Hi everyone,

I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of one of my best friends of 11 years now — someone who has always shown up for others, no matter what. If you know him, you know that he’d give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. He’s the kind of person who helps without ever asking for anything in return. He sends you a daily reminder on Snapchat to have a good day and is always encouraging everyone around him.

Right now, he’s facing the hardest chapter of his life.

After being out of work for several weeks due to a serious back injury, he recently received devastating news: a diagnosis of kidney cancer. On top of the physical and emotional toll, he and Shelby are also expecting a baby girl very soon — a moment that should be filled with excitement, not fear and financial stress.

With Mike not being able to work due to his back, medical bills piling up, and a growing family to care for, he’s doing his best to stay strong and focused on healing. But he needs help — and this is where his friends and family can step in.

The funds raised will go toward:

• Medical expenses and treatment costs

• Daily living expenses while he’s unable to work

• Support for their family and their baby girl as they prepare to welcome her into the world
