Team Dunn

Greg Dunn, age 34, a son, husband, brother, uncle, and friend to many, was diagnosed with stage three testicular cancer in April 2015.  The specifics of Greg’s cancer are complicated and rare.  Biopsy results indicate a non-aggressive form (seminoma) of testicular cancer, however, blood test results and the fact that the cancer has spread to lymphnodes in his abdomen and neck are indicative of an aggressive form (or forms, non-seminomas).  Greg underwent surgery at Duke Hospital on April 10th to remove the cancer source.  On April 13th, he began an intensive, twelve week regimen of chemotherapy to attack the remaining tumors in his body.  We are optimistic with respect to Greg's long-term prognosis, but he has a difficult fight ahead of him.

Greg is a self-employed real estate appraiser in Wilmington, NC, working as much as he can during his treatment to support his household.  Unfortunately, the financial burden of his diagnosis is something that's difficult to prepare for to say the least.

Health insurance is a great resource, but as we all know, it will not cover the ever-mounting expenses beyond Greg's medical treatment. Our hope is that the support we can provide through our recognition of Team Dunn will assist Greg in subsidizing these additional expenses and enable him to focus solely on getting well.
