Let’s help Christine!!!

Christine Murff has been a wonderful friend, coworker, family member, mother, and grandmother to many in the community. Recently she took a trip down to Long Beach, CA to see family. While she and her husband were on their way back up, Christine suffered a major stroke while still in Mission Hills, CA. She initially had surgery to remove the clot, and then developed an acute brain bleed while in the ICU, which is thought to have come from removing the blood clot. She spent a little over a week in the icu, where part of that time they had to put her on a ventilator. She was able to have the ventilator removed and then got moved to a more standard room in the hospital, and as of now is still there. She has a very long road to recovery ahead of her. She is facing physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. She has no controlled movement on her left side at this point and is having a hard time swallowing so she had an additional surgery to place a feeding tube in her stomach and will have one more surgery to remove that when she’s able to. They also have found an additional clot in her leg which they are taking precautions for. She has made great strides, is more alert and able to communicate. She is almost at the point of being discharged from the hospital to at least get back to a facility in Grants Pass which is what she wants and has been asking for often. To be discharged she has to have medical transportation the entire 700 miles, which insurance will not cover and it is very expensive as you can imagine, but is the safest way for her to come back. She also has growing medical costs and additional costs of her husband staying down with there down there for two and a half weeks to be by her side. As you can imagine the bills are adding up fast, and we are trying to make this process a little easier for her and her husband. Christines family appreciates all of the help everyone is able to contribute, every little bit helps and every bit is going to Christine. This was set up for her only, and this one will be the ONLY one that is set up and approved by her and her family. If you are able to and wish to contribute it would be such a blessing. If you aren’t able to it is completely understandable, please just keep Christines road to recovery in your heart and prayers.
