Much needed dental work

Hi there!

I never thought I'd have to do one of these yet here we are.

Sadly the dental implant and crowned tooth that I got in 2008 and took me 5 years to pay off (over 7 grand of dental work) has failed and I need to get them both removed AND get a partial. I had no idea that your body could reject a dental implant and mine had been slowly rejecting it over the years (no other dentists had caught it). It completely dissolved my bone, so I no longer have bone above those 2 teeth. The teeth had been hanging on by a prayer (my new dentist who did catch that my bone was missing things it's snagged onto the gums on the inside).

So sadly because the dental work I need is considered "cosmetic" *rolls her eyes, it's not covered by insurance at all. And because one of the teeth that need to be removed is an implant, it costs extra to remove it *more eye rolling. The bone dissolving affected the tooth next to the implant, so it's hanging onto just the gum from the inside.

I'm getting a partial instead of attempting another implant because it would be way too expensive and since my bone is completely gone, I don't want to go through the trouble of trying to regrow it (if it even regrows) and attempting another implant when my body already rejected the first one.
