Urgent Help for Family After House Fire

Two days before thanksgiving and a week before my youngest child’s birthday party. My family of four had our house catch fire on 11/26/24. The fire started on the porch and went up the building into the attic. The damage has caused the home to be considered unlivable. We are unable to access the home for safety reasons so do not have a full picture of how much of our belongings are salvageable. This is after our main vehicle was totaled in a hit and run accident a little over a month ago.

We are mourning the loss of our home and facing the overwhelming challenge of starting over. The morning after the fire, the company I leased from gave us a 30 day notice terminating the lease and letting me know that I was still responsible for paying rent on December 1st despite not being able to stay there or properly assess how much damage our belongings incurred.

Me, my partner, and my 2 children are all physically okay. We urgently need food, clothing, furniture, and to find a new place to live.

We are desperately looking for a place to temporarily house our pets (dog and cats). We are currently staying a week at a hotel then might have a lead on a guest room we may be able to use until we find a new place.
