Taurean “Flash” Blake was a native of Lake Charles, where he attended Lagrange High school excelling in track and field. He turned down numerous college scholarships so he could stay home and one day marry the love of his life. His favorite motto was “Hungrier than Most” and not only did he live by these words, he motivated the people around him to be better and work harder to achieve their dreams. His biggest dream came true on March 25, 2016 when he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart.
Tragically, nine days later, during the first T-Gator Triathlon at Sam Houston Park, Blake died from complications after having to be rescued during the swimming portion of the race. A Gofundme account has been set up for donations that will be given to his wife to show our love and support during this tragic, emotional and unimaginable life transition. Thank you for your donation and support!
