Glory be to God. It all began when about ten able men and women decided to hit the Greater Hartford Area with the gospel message eleven years ago. As a result of this commitment, the Greater Hartford Ghanaian SDA Church in the Southern New England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists territory which now holds 86 members was formed.
Over the past 11 years, the church like a wayfarer has been moving from one place to another in search of a permanent place of worship. Amidst numerous trials and uncertainties,the church kept growing by leaps and bounds in the similitude of the early church after the death of Christ when “those who believed were of one heart and one soul; they had all things in common” Acts 4:32
Being motivated by the spirit which permeated the Apostolic era, these few church members decided to ignore all odds and disappointments and combine resources together in order to get a reputable place of worship for the Lord of Host.
By divine intervention and the motivation that "the best is yet to come"we are happy to announce that the Greater Hartford Ghanaian SDA Church now has a very descent and beautiful multi purpose place of worship in Bloomfield Connecticut.
This provision is being perceived as a "manna" from Above. Praise God!
The Church building, which is approximately 10,154 SF, sits on a beautiful 9-acreage land featuring a manicured landscape, two large meeting halls, a lobby, a welcoming fellowship room and a beautiful well-equipped kitchen.
We envision opening up the church for the general public and the Bloomfield community in particular for the following Outreach programs;
- Faith based Community events
- Summer Bible School for children
- Venue for free health screening
- Back to school programs
- Agape feast with the community. To mention a few.
The Greater Hartford Ghanaian SDA Church has set May 21st, 2016 for the grand opening of this beautiful place of worship and to raise some funds to help pay for the building. All the church members are doing their honest best to support this worthy cause. We are therefore, appealing to everybody and to you in particular to “come over to Macedonia and help”. With your generous donations, we can pay for and maintain the facility to serve the community and humanity in general. Any donation that the Lord impresses upon your heart is graciously welcome. May the Lord bless your effort and reward you bountifully. Amen.
