TPLO Surgery for Rock the Corgi
Donation protected
Hello, this here is Rock the Corgi! He is one year and six months old. Rock loves to run, wrestle and go on hikes.
Unfortunately Rock has torn his CCL (Cranial Cruciate Ligament). Our vet believes it was a combination of an injury and a degenerative joint disease due to a possible family history. Rock needs to have surgery to fix his leg. The surgery is called TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy), and will help him to enjoy all of his favorite activities again, without the pain caused from his torn tendon.
Initially Rock was scheduled for a cheaper version of this surgery but Rock has since developed scar tissue between his tibia and femur, which has made that surgery more difficult to input the plate that is needed.
As you may imagine we have been visiting the Vet frequently to see how his recovery and possible options were over the last few months.
My wife and I had also just gotten married so we were unprepared for the new cost of Rock's surgery.
The new surgeon has quoted us just shy of $5000 for the surgery, and my wife and I are hoping to reach out to the community for help with the costs.
ALL Proceeds go directly to his surgery which we cannot do until we are able to make the payment. Anything on top will go towards rehabilitation when Rock has recovered enough to do so.
We will provide updates of Rock's status on his Instagram page once the surgery has happened if you wish to watch the progress :

Thank you for taking the time to read. If you are able to help we thank you sincerely.
