TPLO Surgery and Care for Marco
Donation protected

This is Marco, our family’s goodest boy for the past decade. He loves to find big sticks, bark to catchy music, and hang out with the cool pups at the dog park. But above all, he loves our family and we love him more than words can describe.
On Thursday, 4/25, our beloved doggo Marco tore his left cruciate ligament. We took him to the vet where he was diagnosed with a full tear requiring a surgery called tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy (TPLO), which is a popular surgery done for cruciate ligament injuries in dogs with a success rate as great as 90%.
We live on a third-floor apartment, which means Marco has to walk up and down stairs to go to the bathroom every day. He is 100lbs and too heavy for our parents to carry up and down the stairs. It breaks our hearts to see him not be able to be his playful and loving self and it hurts us to see him yelp or shake in pain when he walks on his unstable joint. Marco has been a part of our family for the past decade and we are ready to do whatever it takes to get him better. The cost of the TPLO surgery is estimated to be $5600-6500 without accounting for physical therapy and pre-surgery lab test.
Friends and family, if you can spare any amount of money, even just a few bucks, to help us finance the surgery, that would make a world of difference to Marco and to our family. Please help us get Marco playing in the sun again.
Sincerely,
Celia and Claudia
