For those of you that have visited us recently you'll know that our beloved Chuma has developed a problem with his rear leg. It's been progressively getting worse and after visiting 5 different vets here in Portugal and trying various different treatments the latest visit determined that he needs a very costly operation called TPLO. The operation involves cutting the joint and the replacing it inorder to prevent the ligaments from being used.
'The cost of the necessary procedure would be 1950 euros, which includes:
- pre-anesthetic medication
- general anesthesia
- unlimited analgesia on the day of surgery
- orthopedic surgery with arthroscopy and TPLO
- fixin implants (confirming the need for TPLO)
- Isabelino collar
- home medication
- control appointments, except for x-rays 1 month and 2 months after surgery'
Chuma is an extremely loved guide by us (Isher, Marjike and Nancy) but also by the visitors here at the Lighthouse. Any help in covering the cost of the operation would appreciate by us and especially by Chuma.
Many blessings
