My name is Hampig, and I’m a recovering alcoholic who decided to rebuild his life one honest choice at a time. For the past year, I’ve been sharing my story, creating the Turning Point Journey Podcast, and trying to give people the hope I wish someone had given me.

This cross-country trip is something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. I never got the chance — life, responsibility, addiction, and survival always seemed to come first. But now I’m eight months sober and headed to a conference in Florida, and I realized… this is the moment. This is the chance to finally take the trip I never let myself dream about, and turn it into something meaningful.

So that’s what I’m doing.

I’m driving from Los Angeles to Florida, city by city, sharing what recovery actually looks like and documenting the real turning points people have experienced in their own lives. I’ll be filming, recording, listening, and building something bigger than myself, a living map of stories, hope, and second chances.

This isn’t a vacation.

It isn’t an escape.

It’s a mission.

If I can change one life on this trip, then I’ve done what God put me here to do.

But my prayer is bigger than that… I want to touch millions.

I gave up my restaurants.

I walked away from my family’s financial support.

I put everything on the line to build something that helps people heal.

I traded comfort for purpose, and it hasn’t been easy but ………..

it has been right.

I didn’t walk through all this pain just to say “Look, I made it.”

I walked through it so someone else won’t have to do it alone.

I survived so I could reach back and pull someone else forward.

That’s why I’m asking for support.

Not because I want free gas money —but because I want people to come with me on this journey. I want you to feel like every mile I drive is a shared step. Every stop is a shared victory. Every story captured is part of a bigger purpose.

This journey is the next step in that mission — a living, breathing reminder that no matter who you are or where you’ve been, there’s always a road back home.

This is more than a road trip.

This is a nation-wide path of turning points.
