The Sarah Lewis Cancer Challenge
Donation protected
Sarah will turn 37 on May 14th. She is a dedicated teacher. She is a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She is Rob’s wife. She is Daden’s Mom. She has been battling cancer with determination and grace for nearly a decade. She is our hero and she needs our help.
Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer while 7 months pregnant with Daden in 2006. She underwent a mastectomy while still pregnant and soon after delivering Daden, she had several months of chemotherapy. She never complained.
After completing chemotherapy, Sarah returned to the job she loves, teaching at Cataldo Catholic School in Spokane, WA.
In 2010, Sarah discovered a growth on her leg and was diagnosed with melanoma. She underwent surgery to remove the melanoma which had spread to her lymph nodes. This was followed by a year of interferon treatment. She never complained.
In 2013, her melanoma returned. She underwent two additional surgeries. She never complained.
Recently, Sarah developed persistent headaches. After several doctor’s visits and no relief, a CT scan on May 2nd revealed a large tumor in the right temporal lobe of her brain. Within hours of her scan, Sarah was being prepped for emergency surgery. As much of the tumor as possible has been removed, but she faces a long recovery and follow up treatment.
Sarah and Rob need our help. As their friends, we've set up this site to collect donations to offset Sarah’s medical expenses. Please consider helping our warrior as she faces yet another battle.
