Fertility & IVF Journey

As I sit here writing my story, embarrassed to ask for help, this is what it has unfortunately come to. First I should start with telling you that I was diagnosed with PCOS about 10 years ago. Which is unfortunately uncurable and more devastating than you can imagine. 4 years ago I was in the emergency room desperately seeking for help as I was hemorrhaging. After many tests and a uterine lining biopsy I found out I had endometrial hyperplasia. The gynaecologist then suggested I have an IUD put in for a year before starting to try for a baby. After a little over a year, I finally got the IUD removed and started trying. Within not even a month we found out I was pregnant. We were so beyond excited, until one morning I went to the bathroom and started bleeding, our first pregnancy ever in 12 years of being together was taken from us. As devastated as we were, we knew we had to stay positive and continue trying. After another year of trying, the gynaecologist then prescribed us letrazole, a fertility medication to help me ovulate as I was not ovulating on my own. After 3 months of being on the medication we were pregnant again ending in another miscarriage at 6 weeks. We were then told to consult a fertility clinic for help. April 2023 we started going to the fertility clinic in Montreal. The doctor then proceeded to run a whole list of tests. I've had several blood tests, ultrasounds, a sonohysterography, a D&C and biopsy(scraping of the uterus as my endometrial hyperplasia had came back) a special genetics testing and finally, on August 23, 2023 I had surgery to remove a large mass from inside my uterus. Needless to say it's been a very stressful journey not only physically but mentally as we have had to pay everything out of our pocket since it is all done directly at the clinic. We have spent well over 5000$ already. Today, September 19, 2023 we finally got the news from the doctor that we can start our first treatment of IVF. As the first IVF treatment is covered by the RAMQ, the medication(injections etc) are not covered and are very expensive. I am not one to ever ask for any financial help but it's getting really tough at this point.
I can't thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read our story ♥️
Love always, a woman who just wants to finally be a mommy!
