TPA's Sweet 16 Annual Giving Campaign
According to the Florida Department of Health, suicide is the second leading cause of death for individuals 10 to 34 years of age. The Performers Academy has specialized in arts programming as behavioral intervention and mental health resource to the youth of Greater Jacksonville for the last 10 years.
It costs a mere $16 for us to provide an hour of arts programming for one "high risk" youth. We offer our teens concentrated exposure to artistic experiences as healthy coping mechanisms and platforms of free expression. Our goal is to raise $16,000 to provide 1,000 hours of TPA programming for the 2021/2022 school year.
All proceeds from this year's Sweet 16 fundraiser will go towards the cost of transportation to our Squad Goals Teen Studio after-school program for teens attending alternative schools in the Duval County Public School district. For more information please visit www.jaxtpa.org.
