Keep Us in Our Home

Hello, my name is Stephanie but some of you probably know me as Paco. If you have been watching my streams since I started, you probably know that this summer was a rough one for my family and I. I’ve never gone into great detail as to why. At the start of the summer, I removed my children, my parents and I from a toxic situation. This meant we had to find a new living space that we could try to afford on our very limited income. I do not work outside of the home due to living with a constant, debilitating chronic headache (I have had the same headache for 11 years). The small income I have comes from sales from my Etsy shop, which I have had to pause work on due to our move, and the generosity of the individuals that subscribe, cheer and gift to my Twitch streams. The remainder of our family’s financial support comes from my parents’ social security income. When we moved into this home, we applied for assistance right away as we knew it would be the only way we could keep our heads above water for now. We were upfront with the property managers about our situation and the fact that we were applying for assistance. They seemed willing to work with us and wait on the assistance to be approved. We have been very transparent with all parties involved every step of the way. However, this week, we were hit with an eviction notice. We have been in touch with both the property manager and the department for assistance but we are terrified that the assistance will not be approved in time to prevent us from losing our home.

It is not easy for me to ask for help in any manner and if it was just me being impacted by this, I probably wouldn’t ask at all. However, I’m the mother of two special needs children who are going through an already stressful and uncertain time in their lives and I just want to be able to continue to give them a continued sense of security and keep a roof over their heads so I am humbling myself and asking for help. If you are able, I cannot tell you how unbelievably grateful and thankful I will be.
