About 3 years ago we were blessed to have an amazingly strong and capable woman brought as gift from heaven into our lives. A person of incredible character and resilience she was forced to flee a secret life of marital abuse from her established respected lifestyle in West Africa. With her then 18 year old daughter already attending school in Canada she escaped with her health challenged 11 year old son and forged a fresh start with her children safe in her new home Country. Last year however she was delivered the grim news that her body was under attack by Stage 3C breast cancer. Unfortunately, despite submitting to an aggressive treatment plan, Toyins body gave in to Cancer and has completed this part of her journey with us, leaving her beloved children behind.
She put up a courageous fight but in the end she herself would pay the ultimate price in her quest for safety and a new life, yet her children now 21 and 14 survive, forced to push aside the turbulent history and the tragic loss of their only trusted parent.
Please consider any suitable amount to help us cover funeral costs and then help her children to have every chance to carry the baton for our valiant warrior whose suffering has ended.
