Toye Watts, Jr. New Heart - Medical and More

Donation protected
Toye Watts, Jr. is a man loved by many due to his love for people and serving spirit. His list of friends and people he has positively impacted  spans decades.  From college to church to youth groups to dentistry; Toye loves on people and shares his heart and infectious smile! Toye wed Malinda in 2017 and was blessed with an instant family with her biological and adopted children who call Toye "Pops."

On Sunday, March 29, 2020; Toye got a new physical heart!  Months before, all was normal. Then his energy dropped and after series of examinations and tests, the Vanderbilt physicians determined his heart function had dropped to 5% due to improper electrical impulses. His age and physical condition got him at the top of the heart transplant recipient list and he was told a compatible heart could become available within a week or it could be months.   God responded amazingly fast to provide a matching heart and the surgery was completed within a week of being put on the list!  All this occurred during Covid19 such that Malinda nor anyone besides hospital staff has been allowed to visit him since March 21, 2020.  Due to the virus' impact to his dental practice employer, Toye was furloughed while in the hospital.

Toye and the family know someone lost a loved one to allow him to continue to live and they know God is not done with Toye on this earth.

Their household income will be zero for a time until disability funds begin as Malinda was enrolled in dental hygiene courses (now paused).  Between loss of income and pending medical bills, friends of the Watt’s have a goal to provide $16,000 in funds in the next two months to offset the pending medical and living expenses. They expect the hospital to release Toye to return home the week of April 6, 2020 and know the road to recovery, stamina, and returning to work will be a tough one.

Friends of the Watt's are making efforts to raise funds to take stress off them, as that is exactly what a new heart does not need. Thank you for prayerfully considering a donation, whether large or small.
