Toy donation to the salvation army
Hi Myself and my daughter layla started doing this around 3 years ago, something had happened with laylas father. She was really hurt and devastated but I was determined to show her how amazing Christmas really could be by helping other families. We started collecting new and unused toys and with the help of a few people on the way got into contact with someone from the salvation army, we was told a date to deliver the presents and we just done as much as we could untill then.
Since then we have been able to get the help of the Buckingham round table and the rotary club who also donate money towards going out to buy new toys to put towards the donation at Christmas time.
Each year my daughter gets even more excited because she's becoming more involved as she's growing up, last year when we delivered presents she was able to help put some into groups and see what was going on with what we was donating!
The salvation army have selected families that need the additional help and are able to invite families to choose presents for their children and they get to take them home and wrap them, themselves.
Alongside they can give any additional help needed to families.
The salvation army is a Christian church.
Christmas can be really hard for everyone not just people in need and we just wanted to spread some Christmas cheer to our community...
Hopefully this is a little insight as to why and hope that you can support our cause by donating to help us buy more toys to donate to the salvation army xxx
